The Starr Library was founded in 1862.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Starr Library is to provide the Rhinebeck Community with
the highest quality library and information services, in support of the learning,
recreational, and other needs of the library patron. Open to everyone, the library
is committed to being a general center of reliable information and to maintaining
an up-to-date collection of books, periodicals and other materials for circulation
and for reference. An important objective of the Starr Library is to inspire
a lifelong love of reading in every child.
